Koriot Station

Koroit Station is on the Warrnambool - Port Fairy Line and is now used by locals for their activities, while the Freight Shed appears to be leased to a private operator.

The Koroit Station building sits in a sea of green grass, with no sign of track any longer visible.

 
The freight shed now has some sort of Secret Men's Business going on inside. The interior of the freight shed was not viewable, but there was a truck locked inside.



 
The building looks better from the other side, the locals do not appear to be interested in the railway side.

Bendigo Engine Shed Precincts

The Bendigo engine shed precincts were photographed in April 2004 when the site was under the control of Southern Shorthaul Railroad, and there were many odd vehicles in the yard and some interesting relics in the vicinity of the shed.

7RT sits on the turntable inside the engine shed at Bendigo. It had presumably been towed there from elsewhere, as the chain was disconnected and on the floor of the cab.

 
The shell of a VR B Class locomotive that would later be refurbished and returned to service.

 
A B Class bogie frame, the traction motors and wheels were stored elsewhere for refurbishment.

 
Several more B Class bogies.

 
D3 619 stored, waiting to be restored. It was subsequently moved to the Victorian Goldfield Railways, where it awaits restoration.

 
This SAR Redhen railcar was also stored outside the shed for some time, with a second unit at the rear.
